The chamber contribution should be paid to the bank account of the
Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry instead of the regional chambers from 2022

Although companies have also received the notifications of the chamber's contribution through the Company Gate portal, we summarise below the amendment of Act CXXI of 1999 on Chambers of Commerce (the "Act”), which is effective from 1st of January 2022.

As before, after their establishment, companies are obliged to apply for registration with the local Chamber of Commerce and Industry and to pay an annual contribution of HUF 5,000 to the Chamber for the performance of its public functions.

Due to the amendment of the Act, after 1 January 2022 both existing and newly-established companies should make this payment to a new bank account and another account holder, namely the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, bank account number 12100011-10639683 held with Granit Bank. The 11-digit tax number of the company must be indicated in the "comment" field in order to identify the payment.

Please note that if the company has arrears with the payment of the chamber contribution for the period prior to 31 December 2021, they must still be paid to the relevant regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry (e.g. the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry, "BKIK").

If the company has already paid the 2022 chamber contribution to the regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry, then it will be settled with the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and no further action or payment is required.

The deadline for payment of the 2022 chamber contribution is 31 March 2022.
